In the late 1990s, 11-year old Sophie is taken on a rare Turkish
holiday with her 30-year old single father, Calum. As an adult,
Sophie pieces together her memories of the troubled man she
glimpsed so long ago. Gaining 16 awards to date, this film has
two utterly believable leads. With sharp observation of Brits
abroad, we see how Calum is committed to giving his daughter
the best experience he can with the little money he has, whilst
Sophie is thrilled to be spending quality time with her Dad.
