The Memory of Water by Shelagh Stephenson 10-14th May 2022 MET “My mother’s the ghost in the machine. She runs through us like wine through water.” Stafford Players are proud to present this Olivier award-winning, bittersweet comedy, which introduces us to three sisters on the eve of their mother’s funeral. As stories are revived and experiences relived, it becomes clear that within the shared memory of the family are three acutely different perspectives on the sisters’ relationships with one another, and with their mother who has gone before them. Or has she…? NSDA award-winning director Jo Bradley presents a stellar cast in a comedic reflection, with some strong language, on the bonds of memory which hold us together, and sometimes threaten to tear us apart.
