2022: The 30th Anniversary of Stafford Shakespeare Festival

The Stafford Shakespeare Festival is one of the highlights of the year in Staffordshire and beyond.

Produced by the Gatehouse Theatre, the prestigious event has taken place against the dramatic backdrop of the town’s Norman castle for three decades, attracting audiences from all over the UK, Europe and even further afield.

Established in 1991, performances have covered a vast range of The Bard’s incredible work, including romances, tragedies, comedies and histories.

A new specially-produced mural at the Gatehouse marks each production and has enthralled visitors young and old.

Next year, 2022 will see one of the biggest productions yet, with ROMEO AND JULIET set to be staged in this beautiful historic setting.

In addition, there will be celebrations of previous productions and special events to mark this 30-year milestone.

It promises to be a summer spectacular you won’t want to miss.

After all . . . all the world’s a stage.

PLEASE NOTE: Tickets previously bought for the 2020 production will automatically be carried forward to 2022. Please contact the Box Office on 01785 619080 for details.
